Benefitting previous inner city development
The Snow Hill office development was a major regeneration scheme which required extensive infrastructure modifications. Gleeds planned and cost managed the single stage design and build process, which included extended basement construction and a new viaduct for a proposed tram route.
Located next to the operational Snow Hill railway station, the mixed commercial, residential and retail scheme totalled over 1,400,000 ft². With previous experience of working adjacent to operating railway stations, we implemented a phased development to minimise the effects of infrastructure works and to manage risk control.
The project proceeded on time and within budget, whilst successfully integrating the city’s tram route into the development.
