Lindsay will join the US team from the United Kingdom where he was area chairman for Gleeds’ Central region, covering business opportunities across the heart of England from its Birmingham office. He brings with him over 25 years’ experience of the construction industry, during which time he has worked for a host of established British brands such as retailer Marks & Spencer, and the British Broadcasting Corporation.

As vice president in New York he will be called upon to head up large, multi-national client accounts and take the lead in identifying new business opportunities in the education, pharmaceutical and commercial sectors. Lindsay will be working alongside executive vice president Paul Reimer, who has been in charge of the New York operation since its launch in 2011.

Commenting on his new role, Lindsay said: “From a personal perspective, this is the culmination of a journey I started 30 years ago when I previously worked in New York as a young surveyor. Having the opportunity to work with Paul and his team now is a real privilege and I am looking forward to applying my knowledge to grow the business here, build relationships with new clients and provide a fresh perspective for existing ones.”

President and CEO of Gleeds USA, Chris Soffe, added: “Lindsay has accomplished an incredible amount on behalf of Gleeds in the 10 years or so he has been with us and is justifiably regarded as one of our high flyers. This move will see him become a key strategic member of the Gleeds Americas management team and I am delighted to be supporting him as he seeks to replicate the success he has achieved here in UK in the United States.”
